Cooperation between Uşak E Type Closed and Open Penitentiary Institution and DTS Design Center

DTS Design Center Leather Department provides design and production support for leather products such as leather jackets, vests and bags, which are sewn by convicts selected by the prison manager in the leather workshop of the Uşak E-type Closed and Open Penitentiary Institution Work Dormitory Directorate.

Support is given by the lecturers of the Leather Department in line with the objectives such as developing patterns and models, increasing the production quality, increasing the sales value, increasing the employment areas, and strengthening the university-industry cooperation

In this way, convicts gain skills, adapt to social life, acquire a profession and earn money

To date, approximately 20 leather jacket models have been provided with design, molding, and grading services. These jackets, which were sewn by the convicts, took place in the sales offices.
