Uşak University DTS Design Center is at World Fairs Once Again

Our center visited the Keramika Seramik company.

Researcher Maud Kuppen from the Department of Fashion and Textile Technology, Saxion University of Applied Sciences, Netherlands, and Rematters representative Anne-Doulce Kneib visited our center.

FB Tekstil General Manager Hakan Demirgönül, Design Manager Bike Sağduyu, Sustainability Expert Sezen Çelik and System Global Consultancy manager Gökbüke Koşar visited our Center.

As part of the Denmark - Uşak Cooperation Opportunities and Networking Event, we had a meeting with our foreign guests.

Istanbul Ready-to-Wear Conference, which was first held in 2008, is an event where information is shared on the developments in the world ready-made clothing and textile sectors, the transfer of guiding experiences to new entrants to the sector, good examples and success stories, new technological developments, and the purchasing strategies of global brands from our country.

An online conversation titled "3D Digital Shoe Design and Romans CAD Usage" was held by Uşak University Leather, Textile and Ceramics (DTS) Design Application and Research Center Leather Unit within the scope of DTS Design Talks.

Cemile Ceren Kahraman, one of the lecturers of our center, went to the National Textile and Leather Research and Development Institute in Bucharest, Romania within the scope of Erasmus+ Personal Mobility and held meetings on behalf of our Center.

An online meeting on Digitalization in Production and Use of Digital Tech-Pack in Apparel Production Processes was held as part of the cooperation and joint project work started with TYH Tekstil, one of the manufacturers of brands such as Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Gant, Emporio Armani, Massimo Dutti, Superdry.

Saçlı Textile General Manager Halil İbrahim Saçlı and his team responsible for products and production visited our Center and exchanged views on bilateral cooperation opportunities.

On 16.11.2022, as DTS Design Center Ceramics department, our lecturers, our center manager, and our Rector Prof. Dr. Ekrem Savaş visited the ceramics factories in Eskişehir.

On October 24, 2022, the production workshop of the leather company of DERİ COMPANY operating in Izmir Bornova was visited.

Our Rector Prof. Dr. Ekrem SAVAŞ and our University DTS Design Center team visited Havelsan A.Ş. During the visit, a discussion was held about the design of the personnel clothes of Havelsan A.Ş.

A meeting was held at the PTT Headquarters for the new designs and improvement works of the clothes that the PTT personnel will wear in 2023, within the scope of the Cooperation for the Design and Technical Specifications of Personnel Uniforms, which has been continuing successfully for two years between our Center and the PTT General Directorate.

The first training meeting was held on Thursday, 20.10.2022, with the introduction of the Swatchbook application, which was brought to the DTS Design Center within the scope of the "Integration of Design Practices with Innovative Technologies in the Fields of Leather, Textile and Ceramics".

Ülger Seramik exhibited Uşak University DTS Design Center designs with the "Design by Usak University" logo at the Zuchex 33rd International Home and Kitchenware Fair held in Tüyap Fair and Congress Center Büyükçekmece – Istanbul between 14-17 September 2023.

Ufuk Damburacı, the owner of Omka Yün Tekstil, which started joint work on weaving construction applications and design to offer customers in the international market, and Ekrem Savaş, the rector of our university, signed a protocol.

An online meeting was held on 13.09.2022 between DTS Design Center and Yünsa, one of the world's leading companies in the production of upper-segment wool fabric.

Uşak University Leather, Textile and Ceramics (DTS) Design Application and Research Center visited public institutions where personnel clothing designs and technical specifications are prepared.

Uşak University supported the production of masks and visors needed by healthcare workers to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.

DTS Design Center will design clothes for 112 Emergency Health Services personnel of the Ministry of Health

DTS Design Center participated in CERSAIE, one of the most prestigious design fairs in the world, held in Bologna, Italy, hosting over 900 booth exhibitors and more than 112 thousand visitors from approximately 35 countries.

As the leather department of our DTS Design Center, a protocol was signed between the Uşak E-type Closed and Open Penal Institution.
